PELLEN

As one of Yorkshire's leading keyhole surgeons, Mr Pellen is patient-focused, recommending and providing the very highest standard of surgical treatment options.

As a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England, Mr Pellen holds a Doctorate of Medicine (MD) through further research in advanced laparoscopic skills and training. He is a member of both the British Obesity and Metabolic Surgery Society and the Association of Upper GI Surgeons. 

​

Over his career, Mr Pellen has refined his expertise in the most advanced, evidence-based and up-to-date procedures available. To this end, Mr Pellen's training and research has been undertaken in several specialist centres of excellence including Northumbria Upper GI Team of Surgeons Unit, AZ Sint Jan Hospital (Bruges, Belgium) with Dr Bruno Dillemans (European Centre of Excellence for Bariatric Surgery). Groote Schuur (Cape Town, South Africa), St James University Hospital and Castle Hill Hospital.

 

Mr Pellen's research and quality improvement work has been published in the international peer-reviewed scientific literature (see publications HERE). He is an accredited trainer for Management of Trauma of the Injured (Advanced Trauma Life Support) and the Royal College of Surgeons laparoscopic surgery training courses nationally.
