Michael Pellen is an Upper Gastrointestinal surgeon in East Yorkshire with specialised experience in advanced keyhole (laparoscopic) and open surgery of the abdomen.
Mr Pellen's areas of specialty interest include weight loss (bariatric) surgery including the sleeve gastrectomy and gastric bypass, gallstone (cholecystectomy) surgery, hernia surgery, anti-reflux surgery and diagnostic endoscopy (including the gastric balloon for weight loss).

To make a claim through your private medical insurer, you will usually need to provide them with a referral letter from your GP. We recommend contacting your insurer before booking an appointment so that they can pre-authorise your treatment. Your insurer will check that your policy covers you to see Mr Pellen. You’ll need to provide your insurer details and pre-authorisation code when you get in touch.
